Sunday morning Joseph Terbrueggen
died of heart disease at St. Mary’s Hospital, where he had been only since the
previous Friday. His death was learned
of with sincere sorrow. Deceased was
born in Nordewalde, Germany,
He was a great lover of music and books and had one of
the finest libraries in the city. For
many years he was director of St. Henry’s church choir, was a member of St.
Henry’s Mutual Benefit society, and ever since coming to our city was a most
worthy member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church.

In the death of Mr. Terbrueggen
our city loses one of its very best citizens.
He was a gentlemen, every inch of him, and his pleasing, genial
personality added good cheer to any company he chanced to be in. His death is universally regretted here and
his influence for good in the community will be fondly cherished by all who
knew him.
