Erwin Ruesch

1899 - 1952

Funeral services were held in St. Henry's Catholic Church for Erwin A. Ruesch, 52, World War I veteran and former U.S. sailor, who died February 5, 1952, after a brief illness. He lived at 300 North Fourth Street.

Rosary said by the Knights of Columbus at the Boyle Funeral Home. Interment was in St. Henry's Cemetery.

Mr. Ruesch was not married. He was a native of Milwaukee, but had lived most of his life in Watertown. He was born March 25, 1899 and his parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ruesch.

He had worked here as a grocer and later was a shipping clerk at the Village Blacksmith Folk plant.

He was a member of St. Henry’s Church, the Holy Name Society, the Watertown chapter of the Catholic War Veterans and also of Watertown council, Knights of Columbus. He was a former grand knight of the K. of C.
